Brief Bio

Dr. Hab. David Dueñas-Cid is and Associate Professor and  the Director of the Public Sector Data-Driven Technologies Research Center at Kozminski University in Warsaw, Poland. He serves as Secretary of the Digital Government Society for 2026–2028 and General Chair of the E-Vote-ID Conference. He also chairs specialized digital democracy tracks at major international conferences (HICSS, EGOV) while being the Emeritus President of WG10 Digital Sociology at the International Sociological Association. 

His research focuses on internet voting, electoral technologies, digital democracy, e-governance, and trust in digital government systems. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications on internet voting adoption, electoral technologies and democratic innovation, including recent work on institutional and technological trust in internet voting in Estonia, the governance of electoral technologies, and comparative perspectives on digital participation. His recent work has been published in journals such as Government Information Quarterly, Election Law Journal, and Interacting with Computers.
