I am a Ph.D. student in Information Science specializing in Information, Government and Democratic Society and in Information in Organizational Environments, Human Computer Interaction track at the College of Emergency Preparedness, Cybersecurity and Homeland Security. My research sits at the intersection of healthcare and technology, focusing in cybersecurity and AI governance for healthcare systems.
I was interested in joining CTG UAlbany because it is the hub for innovative interdisciplinary research that brings together public administration and management, information systems, computer science and data science. CTG provides me an environment where I can learn from and collaborate with highly skilled academic researchers and professional staff to produce impactful academic and practical research that addresses pressing societal challenges, particularly in healthcare.
What did you do prior to coming to CTG UAlbany?
Prior to coming to CTG UAlbany, I obtained my Master of Science degree at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Following that, I worked at Deloitte as a Digital Transformation Consultant/ Product Strategy Analyst. In this role, I contributed to a large-scale digital transformation project where I gained hands-on experience in the full product development lifecycle by decommissioning systems, deploying new services, and facilitating change management and adoption.
What are your plans/goals for the future?
My longterm goal is to bridge the gap between cybersecurity and AI governance in healthcare systems while contributing as a well-rounded scholar through meaningful research and publications.
After completing my dissertation and earning my doctoral degree from the University at Albany, I plan to continue advancing my research work(s) and envision holding a research-related industry role where I can contribute to innovative solutions for complex public challenges, or an academic position where I can teach students and further conduct research efforts.
