Davide Giacomini is Associate Professor of Organisation Studies and Public Management at the University of Brescia, where he also serves as a member of the Board of Directors. His research focuses on organisational change, digital transformation, artificial intelligence in the public sector, human resource management, and inter-organisational networks in public administration. He has published extensively in leading international journals in the field of public management.
His current research agenda examines individual perceptions of AI and algorithmic systems in the public sector, the role of leadership in shaping technology adoption, key drivers of digital transformation in local governments, the impact of social media algorithms on organisational legitimacy, and the positive and negative dynamics of Public Service Motivation.
He has also held public office at the municipal level and has been involved in inter-municipal cooperation initiatives. Alongside his academic work, he actively collaborates with numerous public sector organisations.
