Terms of Agreement - Governmental Use

License and Terms of Service

PVAT is made available, for limited use, to governmental agencies at, no charge, as a public service by The Research Foundation of State University of New York and the Center for Technology in Government at the University at Albany after a request is evaluated.

“User” means a government agency employee person who has reviewed and accepted the following terms and conditions of this agreement and a person who has requested access to use and download the PVAT for internal, research purposes only.

User agrees to the following terms:

User is granted a royalty-free, non-assignable, non-exclusive license to use Open PVAT solely for internal, non-commercial  use.

User shall not (and shall not permit anyone else to) copy, modify, create a derivative work of, reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code or any part thereof, unless this is required by law or expressly permitted in writing by The Research Foundation of State University of New York.

User will not remove, obscure or alter any proprietary rights notices (including copyright)from the software, images, image captures, printouts, or documentation.

User will not duplicate, distribute, or otherwise transfer PVAT. User will refer any prospective Users to the Center for Technology in Government website http://www.ctg.albany.edu/publications/online/pvat/ to submit a formal request.

User accepts the work AS-IS and AS-AVAILABLE.  Neither The Research Foundation of SUNY, nor the Center for Technology in Government, nor the University at Albany has any obligation to provide any accompanying services or support.  While every effort has been made to ensure the correctness of the work, neither The Research Foundation of SUNY, nor the Center for Technology in Government, nor the University at Albany makes any guarantee of accuracy.

USER ACKNOWLEDGES AND UNDERSTANDS THAT NEITHER THE RESEARCH FOUNDATION OF SUNY, NOR THE CENTER FOR TECHNOLOGY IN GOVERNMENT, NOR THE UNIVERSITY AT ALBANY, NOR THE DEVELOPERS MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES PERTAINING TO NONINFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
