Brief Bio

Kates is a 30+ year strategic communications and public relations veteran in the high tech arena.

She currently oversees thought leadership and reputation management for the Global Diversity & Inclusion Office (GDIO) at SAP, the world’s market leader in enterprise application software.

She is responsible for supporting all communications efforts related to the company’s global diversity and inclusion strategy -- engaging with industry leaders, customers, partners, third-party experts, senior executives and employees to enable SAP’s commitment to make the world run better and improve people’s lives.

Prior to joining the Diversity & Inclusion team in July of 2015, Peg served as the communications lead for SAP’s global Public Services and Healthcare Business Unit for over 12 years. She has worked with press, analysts, colleagues, customers, prospects, thought leaders, and government officials throughout the world.

Peg previously served as Vice President of Marketing Communications for AMR Research (now part of Gartner Inc., the world's leading information technology research and advisory company) and as Vice President for Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading public relations firms.

Peg received her bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in Maryland.

She is a native of Baltimore, and currently resides in Bethany Beach, Delaware.
