May 20th Event Showcases the Future of State-Local Work
CTG along with state, local, and corporate partners will present the State-Local Internet Gateway Prototype Project on Thursday, May 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Hearing Room C of the Legislative Office Building. The event will highlight and discuss the prototype, built to investigate the concept of a single point of contact for all state-local work in NYS. The presentation, accompanying report, and demo CD will discuss lessons learned and share recommendations for improving the way state and local governments work together.
June 14th Symposium to Highlight Lessons from 9-11 Response
An upcoming research symposium will discuss how lessons learned from the 9-11 World Trade Center response can help organizations improve day-to-day operations and business continuity planning.
The symposium, entitled "Learning from Crisis," is based on multidisciplinary research funded by the National Science Foundation that included interviews with twenty-nine individuals who participated personally in the immediate response and subsequent recovery. It will be held on Monday, June 14 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at the Recital Hall in the Performing Arts Center on the main campus of the University at Albany.
