U.S. GAO Representative To Discuss IT Management
On Tuesday, October 5th from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., CTG will host a brown bag presentation by Lester Diamond, assistant director of the IT Management Unit at the U.S. General Accountability Office (GAO). Lester will present a recently completed GAO study of federal CIOs and their responsibilities.
The results of the study raise questions about effective approaches to information and technology management for the federal government today. In order to explore alternative governance structures, Congress has asked the GAO to explore how leading private sector organizations manage IT.
This presentation will describe additional aspects of the federal CIO study and lay out the ongoing private sector study.
As part of the visit, Lester will also be discussing potential career opportunities at GAO.
