Contact Repository Application
This electronic repository contained contact information about state and local government officials such as title, organization, address, phone number, and job function. All contact information was updated electronically through a decentralized process that made each locality or state agency its own data owner, meaning each jursidiction managed its own contact information.

Individuals who had access to this application were designated as either Data Owners or Data Entry Operators. The Data Owner's role was assigned to the person responsible for the accuracy of contact information about officials and professionals within a jurisdiction. The Data Entry Operator role was assigned to people who updated, added or deleted contact information for the approval of the Data Owner. This business process was chosen to represent an authentic shared data resource and was modeled after a similar effort at the NYS Office of the State Comptroller.
