CTG Participates in NYS Workgroup on e-Records and Openness
CTG recently participated in a workgroup that developed a comprehensive e-records report issued by the New York State Office for Technology and the New York State Archives. The report examines how the state can provide choice, interoperability, and vendor neutrality in electronic document creation while ensuring electronic records are preserved and remain accessible. "A Strategy for Openness: Enhancing E-Records Access in New York State" makes recommendations to promote openness and transparency aimed at ensuring public records remain free from being locked into proprietary systems and software applications.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
Creating an Enterprise IT Governance Framework for New York State Government
CTG is launching a new project to pilot an Enterprise IT Governance Framework for New York State government. The enterprise governance framework will be collaboratively developed over the next 16 months with key stakeholders from within New York State. The project is being carried out in partnership with the New York State CIO Council and the NYS Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and closely supports one of the goals of the CIO’s "Plan 2010," which calls for the “creation of an inclusive and collaborative decision-making process for future IT investments.”
