Seats available for July 27th XML Workshop
Back by popular demand, we are hosting another hands-on introductory XML
workshop called "Redesigning Your Web Site Using XML" on July 27th.
Workshop participants will begin to design and develop an XML-based Web
site. They learn through practice the basic structure and coding of XML
pages as related to overall Web site design.
A class outline and registration form can be downloaded from our Web site at
www.ctg.albany.edu/static/xmlclass/xmlclass.pdf.
If you are interested in attending this workshop (or a future one), please
contact Jim Costello at 442-3812.
Two new reports available
In the past month, the Center has released two new publications.
The first is
Bridging the Enterprise: Lessons from the New York State-Local
Internet Gateway Prototype. This report presents the key factors in the
design and development of a prototype that tested the concept of a single
point of contact for transactions among state agencies and local governments
in New York. A demonstration of the prototype is also available on our site.
The second report is
Information, Technology, and Coordination: Lessons from
the World Trade Center Response. This publication provides lessons and
recommendations based on research into what government agencies did in the
midst of these crises, and the role of IT in the events.
Both reports and the prototype demonstration are available at
www.ctg.albany.edu/publications/publications?sub=reports.
