CTG Participates in city of Albany's Broadband Initiative Working Group
CTG’s Derek Werthmuller is participating in the city of Albany’s Broadband Initiative Working Group in order to help expand broadband access and bridge the digital divide. Together, the group of nine community and business partners will review the broadband needs of the City and provide a blueprint for how broadband service can move forward.

CTG's Ramon Gil-Garcia Receives Best Paper Award
The Center for Technology in Government's Research Director Ramon Gil-Garcia received a Best Paper Award at the 16th Annual International Conference on Digital Government Research (dg.o). His paper, which won in the Short papers track, was entitled "The Effects of Technology Use on Effeciency, Transparency, and Corruption in Municipal Governments: Preliminary Results from a Citizen Perspective" and was co-authored by David Valle-Crus and Rodrigo Sandoval-Almazan.
Enabling Open Government for All: A Road Map for Public Libraries
This report presents the results of a year-long partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and public library and open government experts. The project focused on responding to a growing question about how efforts to open government are influencing, and possibly changing, the role of public libraries in their communities. The report offers six recommendations about leveraging past practices and ensuring a future role for public libraries in the expanding open government agenda emerged from the research and expert meetings. In addition, the report provides two resources to support these recommendations and to help public libraries get started in building their open government agenda.
