                </description><pubDate> 2 Nov 2011 15:15:20 EST</pubDate></item><item><title>Project Highlight</title><link>http://www.ctg.albany.edu</link><description>CTG Releases Study on the Impact of Mobile Technology in NYS Child Protective Services :During the course of a workday, a child protective service caseworker handles a variety of assignments and tasks that require traveling to different locations or accessing and entering sensitive information about child abuse and neglect allegations. Over the past six years, the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) has invested in a mobile technology strategy to support that child protective services (CPS) work and CTG has conducted annual assessments. This report presents overall results from these multi-year assessments that includes findings on how the use of mobility technology impacts CPS casework, a composite description of what a supportive mobile environment looks like, and recommendations for improving OCFS' mobile technology strategy.
